How to Apply

Applications must be submitted through our website and will only be accepted during competition dates. Applicants are encouraged to subscribe to our mailing list to stay up-to-date on the timing of competitions and review the eligibility criteria.

When a competition opens, applicants may complete the online application form for our Winter or Fall grant competition.

Winter Gift Competition

The Winter Gift Competition is held in the first quarter of the year. Subject to available funds, applications for funding between $25,000 and $100,000 are considered. The Winter Gift Competition is designed to support larger scale capital projects and initiatives which will have a long lasting impact in our community.

Fall Gift Competition

The Fall Gift Competition is held in the fall season between September and October. Subject to available funds, applications for funding up to $7,500 are considered. This competition is designed to support smaller scale initiatives which can still have a tremendous impact in our community.

Prepare Your Application

Applicants must include the following information in their application:

Funding Category (Arts, Education, Environment, Health, Historical, Religious, Sport, Veterinary, Other)
Contact Information of the applicant and the organization
Charitable Organization name and registration number
Goal of initiative which is the subject of the application
What is the specific use of requested funds
Total funds sought for the initiative
Total funding already confirmed
Other sources solicited for funding
Total funding request of the Foundation
Budget summary
Additional comments and supporting documentation

Instructions and Support

Applicants are strongly encouraged to use concise language
Focus on how the proposed funds will be used and why they are needed
Proof reading is highly recommended

After Applying

When will I know if my application was successful?

The Foundation strives to notify all applicants, successful or not, of its decision within four weeks following the close of the application period. Applicants will be notified by email via the email address indicated in the application.

If you have not received correspondence notifying you of the result after four weeks from the end of the application period, please check your junk mail folder before contacting us.

My application was not successful, why?

The Foundation receives many requests for funding and is not able to provide individualized feedback to unsuccessful applicants. Many good causes go unfunded based solely on the quality of the other applications submitted during a given competition. We encourage unsuccessful applicants to reevaluate their application and consider resubmission at a subsequent competition.
