The Davies Charitable Foundation supports projects in the arts that allow groups and individuals from all backgrounds to express themselves musically, theatrically, through physical art and the written word.

Athletics

The Davies Charitable Foundation supports athletes from Kingston and the surrounding area in their goal of competing at the national and international level and provides funding to local organizations who promote sport and healthy lifestyles to individuals from all backgrounds.

Education

The Foundation funds educational programs from preschool to the postsecondary level. The Foundation is particularly interested in supporting initiatives that advance learning and literacy for at-risk youth in the Kingston region and promote equity in education at all levels.

The Foundation recognizes the importance of environmental stewardship and educating youth on the causes and effects of climate change. Kingston is blessed with several healthcare institutions that provide high-quality care for our community. Other local organizations promote health and wellness in their community outreach efforts. The Foundation supports large-scale initiatives at the institutional level to increase capacity and improve the patient experience of the Kingston population. The Foundation also supports specific projects that provide auxiliary healthcare support for our community.

The Foundation is interested in supporting projects that fall outside the main categories of arts, athletics, education, the environment, health, and social services. For example, the Foundation has a history of supporting historical, religious, and veterinary organizations. The Foundation encourages organizations to apply for funding if they meet the eligibility criteria detailed on our Guidelines and Eligibility page.
